UC Davis offers a variety of student housing options both on-campus and in the Davis community. Our community is student-focused, friendly and reasonably priced.
Freshmen entering UC Davis are guaranteed two years of housing and transfer students are guaranteed one year of housing — single freshmen will be offered a space in the residence halls and transfer students will be offered a space in a Student Housing apartment. For guaranteed housing or assistance finding a place to live, you must meet all campus deadlines and Student Housing eligibility requirements.
After life in the residence halls, students typically live in one of our on-campus apartments or in the city of Davis. Most housing is within easy biking distance of campus, and our student-run Unitrans bus system serves the entire city, so most off-campus housing is within a few blocks of a bus stop!
UC Davis offers many Living-Learning Communities within the residence halls to help students quickly build relationships with other students with similar interests.
