Intramural and Club Sports

At UC Davis, there's a spot on a team for anyone who wants to play! Every year more than 19,000 students play on over 2,500 intramural teams, in 60 different men's women's and coed activities through our Campus Recreation program. Polo, crew, rugby and Ultimate Frisbee teams accommodate unusual interests, while football, basketball and softball leagues let everyone take a turn at our most popular sports.

Intramural Sports

Intramural (IM) sports give you a chance for structured competitive play against other UC Davis students. Join a sport league and be matched against others of a similar skill level. Check our online IM calendar for a sample of what and when you can choose to play.

Competitive Clubs

Competitive clubs allow you to compete against teams from other schools but don’t demand the same commitment as ICA-level sports. Many of our competitive clubs concentrate on less-common sports like rowing, equestrian sports and road cycling.

Recreational Clubs

Interested in sports, but more concerned with fun and skill development than competition? Our recreational sport clubs are the place for you! There’s a club for everything from wakeboarding to ballroom dance. Sharpen your skills or try a whole new game.
