Our majors and academic programs are grouped into four colleges: Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Biological Sciences, Engineering, and Letters and Science. Each college requires different general education coursework and offers its own cross-disciplinary programs and resources. |

College of Agricultural and Environmental SciencesMajors offered by the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences focus on the relationships between human health and development, plant and animal systems and the environment. These programs often have a practical focus and feature extensive opportunities for hands-on experience. The College has three Divisions as well as an Undeclared/Exploratory major: College of Biological SciencesThe College of Biological Sciences draws on the faculty and resources of the entire campus to offer majors in all aspects of biology. Students enjoy an enormous assortment of available courses, access to professional-level resources and the opportunity to join campuswide research and enrichment programs. College of EngineeringThe College of Engineering offers programs designed to prepare students for the exciting work of creating and refining technologies and structures, from initial concepts through real-world applications. Both theoretical knowledge and practical functionality are stressed, giving students a solid background for future employment or graduate study. College of Letters and ScienceThe largest and most diverse of UC Davis' four colleges, the College of Letters and Science offers top-quality instruction in the natural and social sciences, humanities, arts and cultural studies.
