Expand your horizons and get a taste of the professional world by spending any quarter or the summer interning and studying in Sacramento through the UC Center Sacramento Scholar (UCCS) Intern Program. Through UCCS, students in any academic discipline will be placed into a first-rate internship in Sacramento while taking classes at our center to learn about the history and process of California public policy formation and analysis.
Once you are admitted, the Sacramento center staff takes responsibility for finding you the best internship for your academic and professional needs. While in Sacramento, you will pay the same amount of tuition as students who stay in Davis and your financial aid status will remain the same. You may also elect to live in university-provided housing in Sacramento or continue living in your Davis apartment or house. You will be enrolled in 12 or 16 academic credits through the UC Davis American Studies Department, while in the program.
