Fall Admission

The University of California application filing period for fall 2010 is November 1-30, 2009. Applications must be submitted online at universityofcalifornia.edu/apply by 11:59 p.m. on November 30 to be considered.

You only need to complete one application to apply to UC Davis and other UC campuses. Remember, the application is also your opportunity to apply for scholarships. Details about the scholarship process are below, along with information about what happens after you file your application.

If you experience any technical difficulties while completing the application online, please send an e-mail to ucinfo@ucapplication.net. Please note: the UC system does not accept letters of recommendation or transcripts with the application. You do not need to submit official transcripts to our campus when you apply.

If you don’t have easy online access, you may submit an e-mail request for a print application to ucinfo@ucapplication.net. Include your name, address, application term and whether you are a freshman or transfer applicant, along with an explanation for why you are unable to use the online application. Applications must be postmarked by the last day of the filing period.

Please visit our Application Basics for general information about application filing periods, deadlines and fees.

Don't Forget to Apply for Scholarships

When you apply for admission, you are also applying for scholarships. Be sure to read all instructions pertaining to scholarships when completing the application, paying particular attention to the restricted scholarship eligibility codes.

Freshmen applicants:

A 3.25 GPA is required, but no additional documentation should be submitted.

Transfer applicants:
For UC Davis campus-based scholarships, a letter of recommendation is strongly suggested, though not required, and a 3.25 college GPA is needed. Transfer applicants who wish to be considered for the Regents Scholarship must have a minimum 3.80 college GPA and are required to submit a letter of recommendation. All transfer students who submit a letter of recommendation by the deadline will have their application packets holistically read by the campus scholarship committee, which may result in a more favorable review. Please review the "Prospective Students, Transfer Applicants" section of the Financial Aid Web site for more information.

All applicants:
We encourage you to consider applying for a UC Davis Cal Aggie Alumni Association (CAAA) Leadership Scholarship, which requires a separate scholarship application and a short essay, due February 1, 2010. Visit the Cal Aggie Alumni Association for eligibility criteria and application instructions. For more information about applying for scholarships, visit our scholarships page.

If you wish to be considered for need-based scholarships, you must apply for financial aid. For more information, please visit our financial aid page.
