Academic History

  • Read and follow the instructions for reporting your educational history.
  • Make sure to list “Bagrut” and the date received in the column “Diploma/Degree/Certificate and Date” next to your high school of graduation.

Freshman Self-Reported Academic Record

  • Read and follow the instructions for reporting your academic records.
  • In the 9th grade column list your 9th year subjects and grades.
  • In the 10th-12th grade columns list your senior secondary school subjects and grades for each year.
  • In the 10th-12th grade columns also list your Bagrut/matriculation examination subjects for each year. Enter “Bagrut” next to each of these subjects and indicate the number of units. For example, you may enter “Math Bagrut 3 Units.” If you have completed any examinations in the 10th or 11th grades, please also list your grade in the “second semester grade” column. Enter the word “none” in the "first semester column."
  • If you have already received your Teudat Bagrut and graduated from senior secondary school, list your final grades in the 12th grade column. Remember to differentiate your general senior secondary school subjects (example: "Math Grade 9"). Make sure to tell us what you have been doing since you graduated.
    • If you have begun to attend another educational institution or plan to do so at any point before the term you are applying for, you must list it in your academic history. Remember that once you enroll in a university or post-secondary college during the academic year after completing senior secondary school, you are considered a transfer student and must meet a separate set of requirements.
    • If you have not begun to attend an educational institution and do not plan to before the term you are applying for, please clarify your activities in the Gap in Education section.

Students with Both Foreign and U.S. Education

If you only attended a portion of your secondary schooling in Israel but then moved to the United States, please report both your foreign and U.S. coursework. It is very important that we have a clear understanding of your performance in both educational systems. You are also welcome to explain your situation in a portion of your Personal Statement. If your change in educational systems caused you to skip or repeat a year of education, please read the instructions in Special Situations.

In order to be eligible for freshman admission you must show that you will be graduating with a U.S. high school diploma or comparable credential in lieu of the Teudat Bagrut.
