UC Davis' international admission specialists offer these tips for submitting your foreign academic records. Look for hints specific to your home country's educational system. |

Reporting Foreign EducationWhen you apply, you must report ALL foreign course work as it would appear on your foreign academic record. Do not translate foreign grades to U.S. grades or use an evaluation done by a private evaluation company or another high school on your application. If your grades appear as numbers, words or characters, please report them as such in your application. If your academic record has “word” grades and there is not enough space to write them, you may abbreviate and include a grade scale explanation in your personal statement. Foreign Academic RecordsBecause it may take some time for schools outside the United States to forward your records to us, you are encouraged to have legible photocopies of your official foreign academic records available. During our evaluation of your application, we may need to review these photocopies. Please be prepared to send them upon our request. Official transcripts will be required after you are admitted. Application Tips for Specific Countries and Educational SystemsThe information in these sections is intended to supplement the general application instructions, not replace them. Please read all instructions included with the application as well, and review the general application information provided here. |
