Counselors

UC Davis understands how important counselors are in helping students prepare for and choose the college that best suits their needs. We hope that you find this section is helpful to your specific needs as a high school or community college counselor. You may also wish to visit the UC systemwide counselor Web site.

Students at each California high school who are in the top 4% of their graduating class are considered to be Eligible in the Local Context (ELC). These students are guaranteed admission to the University of California. ELC students who apply to UC Davis will be admitted in their first-choice major.
