 We understand that choosing a university is one of the most important decisions you'll make. Please join us at UC Davis Preview Day 2007 and we'll introduce you and your family to the undergraduate experience at our campus. Registration for this event is now full. Preview Day Activities

Preview Day, a free informational program for prospective students, their parents and school counselors, will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2007. Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Get to know UC Davis on a student-led campus walking tour.
  • Meet advisers from academic departments at the Majors & Activities Fair.
  • Talk with current students about life at UC Davis.
  • Learn about academic opportunities offered by each of our four colleges.
  • Enjoy lunch at popular student gathering spots on and around campus.


You'll also have the chance to learn about admissions, financial aid, and advising resources at information sessions throughout the day.

High school students interested in fashion are encouraged to visit the Department of Textile and Clothing's Open House from 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Preview Day. Please visit http://textiles.ucdavis.edu for details and to R.S.V.P.

Come prepared for an active day: wear comfortable walking shoes and layered clothing, and consider packing a bottle of water and a light snack. There will be plenty for you to see and do!

Don't forget to review the schedule of activities so you can plan your day. Get driving directions and parking information to Preview Day. Parking is complimentary.

Places to Stay

If you're planning on spending the night, there are many hotels and inns located right here in Davis. You may also choose an overnight stay in Sacramento to experience our state's capital city, which is only a short 15-minute drive from campus. For more information on lodging and regional attractions, please visit the Yolo Conference & Visitors Bureau or the Sacramento Convention & Visitors Bureau.
