UC Davis, Aggie Pride is something you hear a lot about, with good reason. Our athletic program is one of the largest in the country, with more than 750 student-athletes participating in 27 varsity sports. And no game is complete without the antics of the Aggie Pack or the Cal Aggie Marching Band-uh!, the heart of Aggie Pride. Go Ags!

In 2007-08, UC Davis' first year of NCAA Division I play:
- The UC Davis women's basketball team earned the number two seed at the Big West Conference Tournament.
- The UC Davis men's soccer team advanced to the NCAA Division I championships.
- Fifteen UC Davis student-athletes were named to the Big West Academic All-Conference team for fall sports, while nine were named for winter sports. To be eligible, student-athletes must have maintained a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average or better.
- UC Davis men's basketball guard Mark Payne was named Big West Conference Freshman of the Year and was also selected to the 2008 CollegeInsider.com Freshman Mid-Major All-America Team.
Quick Fact
- Three Aggie student-athletes have earned NCAA Woman of the Year awards: Kelly Albin (2004) for lacrosse, and Tanisha Silas (2002) and Jamila Demby (1999) for track and field.
