Cross-Cultural CenterThe Cross Cultural Center (CCC) serves as a community center for the students, faculty, and staff at UC Davis. It provides a safe space for community members to learn about their own heritage and become familiar with other cultures. Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Resource CenterThe LGBT Resource Center provides a comprehensive range of education, information and advocacy services and works to create and maintain an open, safe and inclusive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender students, staff, faculty, their family and friends and the entire campus community. Reentry Student ServicesStudents enrolling in college after years spent away from formal education face a special set of challenges. Reentry Student Services provides undergraduates age 25 and over with a range of support services, including campus orientation, social networking, family support and study skills workshops. Student Disability CenterThe philosophy of the SDC is to promote independence and integrated participation in campus life for students with disabilities. The SDC is staffed by professional Disability Specialists who specialize in different areas of disability: learning, vision, hearing, medical, psychological, and mobility. These professionals each work with an assigned caseload of students, determining their eligibility for academic accommodations and ensuring the provision of accommodations necessary to allow the students to participate meaningfully in educational opportunities on campus. Women's Resources and Research CenterThe Women's Resources and Research Center advocates for women's full inclusion, equality and advancement and focuses on issues of central importance to women both on campus and in the larger community. As part of its goals, it educates the campus community--students, faculty and staff, women and men--about women's issues and concerns. Its programs promote an understanding of the role and impact of gender in our lives and our society. Women of diverse backgrounds can turn to the Women's Center for help achieving their intellectual, professional and personal goals and realize their full potential. |
