UC Davis is proud to collaborate with all California community colleges to provide students with increased access and an opportunity for early advising in order to achieve their academic goals. The online UC TAG Application provides you and your students with an efficient, paperless process to guarantee admission to UC Davis.
The UC Davis TAG program offers guaranteed admission to UC Davis in the major of choice through a formal agreement that outlines the courses a student must complete and the grade point average that must be earned before transferring. We value our continued partnership with California community college counselors to promote and review UC Davis Transfer Admission Guarantees (TAGs) for eligible students. Much of the continued success of this program results from the dedicated efforts of our educational partners. You will find information to help you begin the 2013-14 academic year TAG process here. Timeline for submitting fall 2013 TAGs to UC Davis
- Beginning immediately, we encourage:
- students to visit our website designed to answer their questions about the UC Davis TAG process
- students to begin completing their personal information and their self-reported academic history on the UC TAG Application
- counselors to review fall 2013 UC Davis TAG Criteria and our "Quick Reference" documents
- counselors to contact their UC Davis TAG contact for questions about this year's TAG process
- counselors to work with their community college’s assigned UC TAG Administrator to establish a secure TAG Reviewer account that will provide an appropriate level of access to UC Davis TAG applicant information, allowing a preview of TAG Applications prior to the September submission period
- counselors to utilize the UC TAG Application messaging tools to communicate with students as they prepare their UC Davis TAGs
- counselors to use TAG reports within the UC TAG Application to help manage TAG workload
- Beginning September 1 and no later than September 30, students should use the UC TAG Application to submit their UC Davis TAG to their current/primary community college.
- Beginning September 1 and no later than October 15, community college designees receiving the students' UC Davis TAG will review and submit the TAG to UC Davis according to instructions provided on the UC TAG Application.
- By November 15, students and counselors will be notified of the UC Davis TAG decision through the UC TAG Application.

UC Davis TAG majors for fall 2013
TAGs are open to all majors at UC Davis, both selective and non-selective, unless otherwise specified below or in the TAG Criteria. New non-selective majors open to fall 2013 TAG include Chemical Physics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Undergraduate majors and programs closed to TAG:
- Electronic Materials Engineering (College of Engineering)
- Optical Science and Engineering (College of Engineering)
- Undeclared/Exploratory (College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences)
- Undeclared—Life Sciences (College of Biological Sciences)
- Undeclared—Fine Arts, Humanities, Physical Sciences or Social Sciences (College of Letters and Science)

- Submit the TAG for: Pre-Landscape Architecture (for the major in Landscape Architecture)
- Submit the TAG for: Pre-Managerial Economics (for the major in Managerial Economics)
