UC Davis works closely with all California community colleges to make transfer admission to UC Davis attainable. Students transferring from California community colleges receive priority consideration over all other transfer applicants. In fact, you can guarantee your admission through our Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program. But first, you need to think carefully about the major you want to pursue so you can complete as many lower-division requirements as possible at your community college. Take some time to plan your path and within four years, you could be a UC Davis graduate!
- Colleges and Majors A leader in interdisciplinary study, UC Davis offers four colleges, seven professional schools, more than 100 academic majors and 86 graduate programs, making us one of the most comprehensive universities in the nation.
- Transfer Student Services Start your UC Davis career on the right foot and get help transitioning from your community college. Our Transfer Student Services center provides assistance and resources for transfer students, including academic advising, peer counseling and a broad social network.
- Honors Programs If academic challenge is your interest, we offer a variety of honors programs, including honors work by major and course.
- Research Opportunities Our foundation as a research university enhances the education we offer all our students and provides numerous opportunities to apply your academic knowledge, and can help you in career and graduate school preparation.
- Performance Opportunities Get involved with one of our many performance groups, including the backbone of Aggie pride, the Cal Aggie Marching Band-uh. In many cases, students do not need to be in a performance major to participate in a music or theatre audition.
- Education Abroad Take your UC Davis education abroad for a quarter, year or summer. UC Davis also supports a wide array of regional academic opportunities, including the UC Davis Washington Program.
- Housing Transfer students who submit their SIR on time are guaranteed one year of housing in either on-campus residence halls or off-campus apartments. Many other options are available, including campus housing for students who are married and those who have domestic partners or children.
